Runway Terms of Use
Last updated
Effective Date
These Terms of Use are effective from 3 August 2026.
Who We Are
Runway is provided by Sole Coding, operated by Kay Weng Foong ("Sole Coding", "we", "us", or "our"). You can contact us at kaylek207@gmail.com.
Payments for Runway Pro are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction.
Accepting These Terms
These terms govern your download, installation, purchase, and use of Runway. By using Runway or purchasing Runway Pro, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise have the legal capacity and any required permission to enter into this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Runway.
What Runway Does
Runway is a macOS utility that helps you view and understand usage information from supported AI providers. Depending on the feature and provider, it may show usage limits, reset times, local activity, forecasts, rankings, project attribution, plans, workflows, and provider recommendations.
Runway does not supply the underlying AI services. You need your own compatible provider account, subscription, command-line tool, or API credential where a feature requires one.
Free and Pro Features
Runway may include free features and optional Runway Pro features. We may adjust which features belong to each tier for future releases, but doing so does not remove the licence rights already granted for the Runway Pro product you purchased.
Runway Pro is currently offered as a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. Taxes and the final checkout price are shown by Lemon Squeezy.
Runway Pro Licence
When you purchase Runway Pro, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Runway Pro for your own purposes. The licence is for one user and may be activated on up to three Macs owned or controlled by that user.
You may not share, sell, sublicense, rent, or transfer your licence key or allow another person to use it as their own. A refund, charge reversal, material breach of these terms, fraud, or licence abuse may result in deactivation.
Lifetime Licence Meaning
A one-time Runway Pro purchase provides perpetual access to the purchased Runway Pro licence and updates released for Runway while the product remains maintained. It does not guarantee perpetual development, uninterrupted third-party provider compatibility, or access to separate future products.
"Lifetime" refers to the purchased Runway Pro licence under this definition. It does not refer to the lifetime of the buyer, Sole Coding, a Mac, an AI provider, or any third-party service.
Acceptable Use
You must not:
- use Runway unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights;
- share, resell, publish, or manipulate a licence key or activation;
- bypass feature, payment, activation, security, or usage restrictions;
- interfere with Runway, its licensing service, or connected services;
- introduce malicious code or use Runway to gain unauthorised access; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Runway, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Your Accounts and Credentials
You are responsible for your provider accounts, subscriptions, API charges, credentials, and compliance with provider terms. Keep passwords, access tokens, API keys, and your Runway Pro licence key secure. Do not give credentials to anyone claiming to provide Runway support.
Runway uses credentials only for the connections you configure, as described in our Privacy Policy. Connecting Runway does not transfer ownership or control of your provider account to Sole Coding.
Third-Party Services
Runway can interact with services operated by third parties, including AI providers, Apple, Lemon Squeezy, and public data hosts. Their terms, privacy policies, prices, limits, availability, and technical interfaces apply to their services and may change without notice to us.
Runway is an independent product. References to provider names, products, and marks identify compatible services and do not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement unless we expressly state otherwise.
We are not responsible for a third party suspending an account, changing an API, reporting inaccurate data, imposing charges, or discontinuing a service.
Usage Information and Recommendations
Usage figures, reset times, forecasts, runway estimates, rankings, plans, notifications, and provider recommendations are informational. They may be estimated, delayed, incomplete, stale, or inaccurate because of local data, provider reporting, network conditions, or software limitations.
Runway is not a billing system and does not guarantee that a provider will accept a request or that a limit will reset at the displayed time. Verify important usage, billing, and account decisions with the provider. You remain responsible for provider charges and for decisions made using Runway's information.
Intellectual Property
Runway, its design, software, branding, and original content belong to Sole Coding or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant a licence to use Runway; they do not transfer ownership.
You keep ownership of your provider data, local project information, and other content you lawfully control. Third-party names, marks, data, and content remain the property of their respective owners.
Updates and Availability
We may release fixes, improvements, compatibility changes, or security updates. Some updates may be required for continued use of a feature. We may change, suspend, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary for security, legal, provider-compatibility, or product-maintenance reasons.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, support for every macOS or provider version, or permanent maintenance of Runway.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Runway at any time. You can disconnect providers and deactivate a Runway Pro licence from the app where those controls are available.
We may suspend or deactivate a licence where reasonably necessary to address fraud, payment reversal, licence sharing, security risk, unlawful use, or a material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will allow you to contact us to resolve an error.
Ending the licence does not automatically delete local app files or macOS Keychain entries. See the Privacy Policy for removal information.
Refunds
For a first Runway Pro purchase, Sole Coding offers a voluntary refund request window of 14 calendar days from purchase, subject to our Refund Policy. An approved refund may deactivate the Runway Pro licence.
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and processes or administers refunds. Its Buyer Terms also apply to the purchase. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Runway is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not make warranties that Runway will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every provider, or suitable for a particular workflow. We do not exclude warranties, guarantees, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sole Coding is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, provider charges, or loss of data arising from Runway or a third-party service.
Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, Sole Coding's total liability relating to Runway Pro will not exceed the amount you paid for Runway Pro. This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, security, or business changes. We will update the effective date and publish the revised version at this page. If a change materially affects existing paid licence rights, we will provide reasonable notice where practical. Continued use after the revised terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Singapore will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections and rights available in your place of residence continue to apply where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
